Current and upcoming events
Walk-a-palooza walks have ended and pledge sheets returned to you with laps walked recorded on them. Please collect as many pledges as possible!!! This is a MAJOR part of this year's fundraising efforts! We are behind last year's total, so we need to try to catch up!! Students will be entered into a raffle based on the amount of money raised. Every $20 raised is an entry. Raising the most money in your class earns another entry and the top money collector in the school earns three more entries into the drawing!!! The top money collector is also guaranteed a prize. We will be giving away a percentage of money that is raised by all students in the form of gift cards to Wal-Mart and Toys R Us. The class that collects the most money will earn a special treat as well! The drawing will be held the first week of November.
UPDATE: We have collected rougly HALF of the total in walk pledges compared to last year!! Our total collected for AutumnFest and Walk-a-Palooza is about $2000 behind last year's totals. If we do not raise much more, we will not be able to afford to go on a year end field trip (if given school board approval). If every child that has not contributed could send in just $10, we will catch up to last year's total.
Kistler Family Movie at the Clifton 5 in Huntingdon coming in Novmeber!! We will be seeing the animated film Planet 51 starring the voice of Dwayne 'the Rock' Johnson (rated PG for mild sci-fi violence) on Sat, Nov 21 at 4pm. Admission will be $3.50 per person (child or adult) including a small popcorn and soda!! What a bargain!!
December plans include...
Breakfast with Santa on Dec. 5 8-9:30 am
Santa Shop Tues, Dec 15 & Wed. Dec 16 during school (lots of parent volunteers needed!!!)
Mug on a Rug day- movie with popcorn and cocoa in school on Dec. 23. This will also be the first of the "Winter Blues days" as PJ day!
Continue to save your Box Tops, Campbell's Soup Lables, Tyson Chicken Lables, and empty ink cartridges!!!! We are no longer collecting Nestle water bottle lables.
Watch your child's mail for all the details to all the fun stuff we have coming up!
Our next PTO meeting will be held on Nov. 2at 6:30 pm at the school. Please come!
Please try to come!!! "The more parents and teachers that attend, the more we have to offer our children and make this school year a great success."

Thank you to all to attended the Kistler PTO Hoss's night on Oct. 7 or 8. We appreciate your help and support!!
Trunk or Treat night was well held on Thurs, Oct 22 from 6-7 pm. It was a perfect night! About 150 children visited the 13 cars set up in the parking lot. A panel of teachers did the judging this year and their votes went to Lacey Scott's and Katie Miller's families for first place with their haunted truck and second place went to Caylin Reeder's and Samantha Souders's families for their Wizard of Oz themed decoration in their van. Thank you to everyone who donated candy, brought their cars or attended. A BIG thank you goes out to Miss Tobie Miller, Mrs. Sally Steward and Mrs. Jamie Gearhart for volunteering to judge.
